Singer-songwriter, arranger and artistic producer:
Benjamin Lebeau is a self-taught French musician, singer-songwriter, arranger and producer who has been passionate about music from a very young age. His career spans more than twenty years on the independent, pop and French electro scene, first as a member of notable bands (The Film, The Shoes), then as a producer and co-writer sought after by artists such as Clara Luciani, Julien Doré, Raphaël, Alain Chamfort and Gaëtan Roussel. His work has regularly been praised by critics, notably by Télérama.

The Film (2005)
Benjamin founded The Film, a rock band from Reims. Their track "Can You Touch Me" gained unexpected reach: it was chosen for a French TV commercial for the Peugeot 407 and was featured on the soundtrack of the video game FIFA 2006. The band toured extensively, notably playing at Rock en Seine, the Fnac-Indétendances festival (Paris Plages), the Octopus Festival in Nivelles, and later in Brazil at the Abril Pro Rock festival in 2007.
The Shoes (2007)
In 2008, the duo reinvented themselves as The Shoes, an electropop group that became one of the most internationally successful French acts of its generation.
2012 — The single "Time to Dance" achieved worldwide impact thanks to its music video directed by Daniel Wolfe, starring Jake Gyllenhaal alongside Callum Turner and FKA Twigs. The band played a sold-out show at the Olympia.
2014 — A remix of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" became the theme tune for Le Grand Journal (Canal+); a live performance at Canal+'s 30th anniversary featured a remix of Cerrone's "Supernature" alongside Beth Ditto. The Shoes also shared the bill at the Festival des Inrocks with Glass Animals and Chet Faker, and organised Les Inrockuptibles' 30th anniversary event in Reims.
2015 — Second album Chemicals, featuring contributions from Blaine Harrison (Mystery Jets) and Thomas Azier.
As remixers and producers, Guillaume and Benjamin also worked with Lana Del Rey (a remix of "Born to Die," co-produced with Woodkid), as well as with Gaëtan Roussel and Shakira.
Today
Benjamin is currently working on a personal album in French, now nearing completion, from his studio in Ardèche. A creative space he moved to after years spent between Paris studios.
